I have a 1991 f150 with a Hercules rear bumper. Is this the original factory bumper?
A few nights ago I was rear ended by a Jeep Cherokee and my bumper folder like a cheap piece of junk. I could not even open the tailgate until it was straightened out. The Jeep had no damage at all.
Do the rear bumpers of 1980-1996 f150s sustain bad damage even in minor crashes? I was surprised and somewhat disapointed that my truck didn't at least inflict a little damage to the front of the Cherokee.
normally these ford bumpers are pretty stout. There's no reason it should've crinkled like aluminum foil like it sounds like. I have a bent stock bumper in my gallery. Of course, they're not all chrome, but that's what it'll look like. Anyway, I'm sayin that you shoulda hurt the Jeep, I think.
