K&N filter
I was planning on putting one of these air filters in a 94 f-150 302 5 speed. Is there a noticable power increase or is it an over priced filter. Just looking to make the truck alittle more powerful, or at least breath better.

I have a 93 f150 302 xlt with 302. You will notice an improvement in gas mileage and top end power. I installed the K&N and I saw .5 to .6 mpg increase in mileage. Of course I do have BBK shorty headers on the truck but I installed the K&N after the headers.

this worked because you increased BOTH air in and air out. if you did not have the headers you would not have seen such an increase, but the headers alone probably helped power because the exhaust system from factory is so restrictive. the air intake onthe other hand is not that bad.
