Half of the heat shield over my rear axle seperated (peeled). It's flopping down on the exhaust pipe. The other half of it is still up there. Looks like the glue or whatever Ford used just doesn't do the job. What's good to secure the peeled part back on?

Oh No Steve!......without your heat shield, you won't be able to re-inter the atmosphere! I'll call Houston. LOL
The best high temp. stickum stuff that I've found is JB Weld......it applies like epoxy, and is good to around 650 degrees. I'd poke or drill some 1/8 holes in the shield material so that some of the JB can ooze through....will hold better. I don't know what you've got on the bed side.......but if there is some areas for a few holes there; that would help even more. Don't wipe off the ooze, you want it to form some natural heads to hold the shield. I really like the 5 minute version. It sets fast, so there isn't alot of needed holding in place or supporting....you should be covered.
I see anything out of place as a problem. The heat shield is probably there for a reason. I like to handle things before they create other problems. It's all part of maintaining your investment.
If you choose to ignore it, that's your option not mine.
