I'm a little surprised the guys who like lowered trucks wouldn't be all over that thing...get rid of the white walls, upgrade the wheels, fab a little body kit, put a Mustang driveline in it, and you might have something....
I cannot believe no one has said "Subaru Brat". This thing screams it.
I won't say I like it, but it is kinda cool. I'm thinkin stoker motor, but what happens when it flexes is another thing altogether. I once SAW with my own eyes a fella with a 65 comet, BUILT 390, make his rear window literally explode when he tromped the throttle at a dead stop.
I can solve this real quick, someone post up a vin number, and let the powers that be do the rest.
I also have a magazine somwhere that I am looking for that shows a few styling mock ups of a Pinto based Ranchero. Using a seperate (!) bed with the regular rear truck bumper. As soon as I find it, I'll post 'em. Oh yeah it was done by Ford stylists in Dearborn.
