Starter to Flywheel

Last week the top part of my 3 week old starter vibrated off. Now since this happened, the flywheel has been grinding against the housing. I think these problems have to be related. Ever since the top part of the starter came apart and the pin that hold the two "forks" came apart, the flywheel really grinds, and my 85 F150 is undriveable. Need suggestions quickly!?!?

You may be able to retrieve the fallen pieces by removing the lower inspection plate to expose the flywheel. Some access is available there as well as through the starter hole.Be safe and remove the coil wire before you turn the flywheel with a bar to find the problem area. Also inspect the balance weight on the flywheel for dislodging.
