hood

ok i have tried everything and it wont work, i accept the fact that i am fat and i cant fit my hand under the hood to the release, i need some help.

Try a large screwdriver and use it as a lever against the front edge of the hood over the radiator support. May want to put a rag between the hood a screwdriver to avoid scratching. This release lever needs to be pushed down. FYI - when these latches wear out you sometimes need to push the hood back down a half inch while pushing the release lever at the top of the radiator support.

Maybe come in thru the grill with a coat hanger and pull the release lever down rather than trying to wedge anything between the hood and the radiator support.

May not be a size issue, these latches are quite tempermental. Good Luck

You know that the latch isn't under the edge of the hood right...? That it's in a hole in the front grill 1 row down/to the right of center....

Just wanted to check because most cars are under the edge of the hood, these are not.

or left of center, passenger side.

do you mean your fingers cannot fit in the grille?
