While looking through the Gallery section of this site, I came across something I would like to do to my truck. The tach was installed in the steering wheel support. I measured the one on my truck and it measures 5"x3".
The smallest one my local parts supplier can get is over 3". So now I have to come to the people that know. Who handles tachs that small?
Some years back I came across a tach with a dial smaller than 3" made by either VDO or Auto- Meter. If you can get a full line catalog, I think they are still around.
last time I was in auto zone, I saw a sun that looked real small to me you
may try some of your local parts stores!
P.S I do remember seeing some that were the size of oil, temp, amp, but I don't remember were,at the time I was looking because I had a 78 ford TK
that I had put a snorkel hood scoop on and I had cut small gauges in the
back of scoop and I wanted a tach to match!

Have to head to a bigger town this weekend and see what they have. Going to put an oil, amp, and tach in would like them to be all the same. Will keep looking. Thanks!
