Hey, I have a 99 e.b. expy with 91000 miles and I have noticed lately that on some days when I want to take off or am pressing about 1/3 throttle it bogs down and acts like it doesnt want to go anywhere any ideas. It only does this about once every 2 weeks.
I took some elements from your other thread and put them in this one and them removed th eother thread so as to not cause confusion. Now you only have to look in one place.

Intermitettent problems are the hardest to track down. Once you determine a routine cause for a problem it is usually quite easy to find the solution.
However, that is not the case here.
My suggestion would be to first change your fuel filter. Do that and then see if the problem persists. You may get other suggestions but I would only choose one and see if that "does the trick". If you try to implement all the solutions people may give you all at on etime then you may end up spending more time & money than needed.
One questions though...when you push the accelerator down and it bogs, can you push it farther down and have the engine accelerate normally?
just got out from under the hood about 2 minutes ago adn checked the hoses, well im only 16 so i prob didnt check them all really good, but i felt on every rubber hose by the throttle body and took off the 5.4l cover and wied out the throottle body, even though it wasnt very dirty. so any ideas maybe fuel filter ill try next. also i heard about some "special" tool u need to do it. hit me up.
Bigexpo,
The fuel filter has these clips where it attaches to the fuel lines. the tool is availible at most auto parts stores and only cost a few dollars. here is a link to show ya what one looks like. http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...tnumber=T70046
hope this helps.

FWIW, when it's hot and humid + AC, my Expy turns into a total DOG. Take away the humidity and even though it's still hot, it runs like a top. Common complaint.
