Wonderful how they make changing a tire into a scavenger hunt nowadays. At least they're putting the jacks inside the vehicles now - the older ones stored under the hood would get all rusty and crudded up so they were useless.
That's OK, the prior owner probably threw it out because these things are frustrating and useless especially if your truck is lifted. I always use my Hi-Lift jack for that anyhow. It's a lot easier and quicker to use than the OEM jack. I use it under the middle of the rear bumper for rear tires and on one of the tow hooks for front tires. Make sure you're on level ground though, the Hi-Lift is a super-sized and heavy duty version of the jack that came with my 1986 Crown Vic, if you can immagine that. Now those were jacks, you remeber the ones that fit in the bumper's notches? At least on later model F's (2003 at least) , they put all that suff in the cab. Useless jack, tire iron and crank. The spare isn't in the cab though...
