Where is the CPS

Hello Ford Brothers.
i have a 01, 7.3 liter diesel Excursion. i have been seeing a fuel decline and the enigine has been getting a little rough so i thought i would get on here to do some investigating to see what the problem is. well i think it might be the CPS , so i ordered one. got it in today and was wondering just were in the world it is located and if i could change it myself. if any body whats the task of explaining it to me where it is and how to do it in simple terms it would be great thanks, Ed Cannon

in the front of the timing cover. very easy on ur back w/ and 8mm socket and 1 plug.

ok, i have no idea where the timing is. please can you give better idea on where it is ..... sorry not very knowledgable on the engine Ed

right abve the crank pulley, maybe u should have someone else do it if not that confident.
