Choke replacement options

Well I figure my choke is dead, car does not like to run until warm now, the cap on the choke has a hole in it that I sealed up but I figure I might as well replace it, the spring inside loks rather old anyways. Can I just replace the cap and be done with it? Or do I need to replace the whole unit?

I assume the replacement cap comes with a new spring inside already correct? This is all for a Holley 4160 list 8934

where did you hookup the electric choke??..may not be getting constant 12v currant..i hooked mine to the oil pressure sending unit wire..how long are you letting it warm up??if the choke idle is too high or too low while warming up you will need to adjust the high idle screw..to do that turn the key off pull the throttle wide open and on the left side (below the choke linkage)there is a 1/4" screw that can be adjusted...for higher (choke idle) turn the screw clockwise about a 1/4 turn at a time...now to shorten the time the choke is on..take the air cleaner off, start it ,let it warm up,and then loosen the 3 screws on the choke.turn the choke clockwise untill the choke plate is open all the way...
