Cluster Question
If I remember correctly at night the cluster illuminates, it dont now, the bulbs for seat belt, alt, battery, and brake all work but no illumination so I can see at night, Also the light the illuminates the wiper and headlight switch does not come on. All fuses are good except for the really small one it is the only one not getting any juice through it, so we got a piece of wire and by passed it to test and now the light for the headlight and wiper works but not the lights for the instrument cluster. Anyone have any suggestions on whats wrong, is it a bad fuse panel?

That circuit is controlled by the headlight switch & through the printed circuit grid.
The wires for this lighting are blue w/ red stripe.
Problems could be:
1) The headlight switch rheostat control for the cortesy lighting.
2) The printed circuit
3) Bad or loss of Ground.

I had a problem like that on my 79 about 3 weeks ago and it turned out when i was wiring my new headunit i accidently tapped the ground line one the headunit into the illumination wire for the factory radio if you have done any wiring recently you might want to double check yourself
