Shocks question

Shocks question
On my 76 f-100 the rear shocks are different than the ones Im lloking at on internet, they are like the ones you put on the front where the top has like a threaded rod and the other end has where you put a bolt through. The ones I am looking at for the rear have where the bolt goes in on the top and bottom. Should I put ones that are made for the front on the back?

keep in mind that most of the time they use generic or a typical type picture. its frustrating sometime..i like to see exactly what i'm getting! esp. ebay...lot of folks use a pic that just represents what you will get. No, they wont interchange w/out some rigging and welding brackets. Then you got to consider the min/max travel that the shock can physically move. Rear ones usually have longer travel in a pick up truck. paul...
