My '73 EB w/302/AT has no vacuum lines running to the modulator. So as you can imagine, it doesn't shift very well by itself ( took it out on it's maiden voyage today). Can someone tell me where to land these two lines?
Thanks
Greg
I just used steel brake line and bent it around to fit. Cut the brake fitting ends off. Then a small junk of rubber fuel line hose to connect to the factory vacum ends. Three years now and still works great.
Let me be more specific. My modulator has two vacuum fittings, one fore and one aft. What I need to know is which one is for manifold vacuum and which one goes to a ported switch..
Greg
The outer nipple connects to manifold vac.. the inner nipple connects to port. I've
eliminated using the inner port vacuum hose when I switched to efi. I just left the port on the modulator open and had no shifting problems yet. I did this after seeing other C4 automatics with a single port vac. modulator. I'm really not sure what that second port is for? I've also noticed 2 ports on my old distributor vac. advance in which I eliminated the inner vac. line also.
