Radiator Seeping
My 96 F150 300/6 has what seems like a hairline crack just under the radiator cap. There is a small plastic piece the size of a pencil and about 1 1/2 inches long that sticks out from the plastic end cap on the radiator. The leak seems to be at the base of this piece. Does anyone know of a sealant that would work in this situation? Thanks for any ideas. Chris...

Normally when you get a crack in a plastic top, you have to replace the top. Most componds you use may provide a tempory fix, but do to the heating and cooling they will over time fall off and or leak. A good quality raditor shop can install the tank, or most times you can buy a good aftermarket all metal radiator for a little more than it cost to rod them out.
