Okay, so we'll celebrate in Kansas City. You ARE coming to the rally, right?
I'm tempted to pack a bedroll and "HIKE IT" just like the good old days....

(Seriously)
There doesn't seem to be any way I can 'make it' here, despite my skills and background. Maybe if I met some people i could find a way out of this trap...
As of a week and a half ago, I have no truck insurance (thanx to my soon to be ex) so I cannot drive anywhere. -Like I can afford the gas on retired income!
It sux, and I'm fighting it.

I just sent a resume to a DOD site, but if it doesn't see fruition in about a week - I can hitch hike if I have to, and am a great hand at troubleshooting.
I think I've got about three S-Bags, a good serviceable dome tent, and i can trip all the breakers in the house for the time being (gas is already shut off). The phone company will want cash regardless...
I haven't hitched anywhere since 1976!
Oh - DUH! Mustn't shut down the 'fridge....
Are you thinking someone coming through from Georgia, Florida, or other southern states?

If I don't find work fast - I can't spend a dime on anything but bills and food. It just might go that way. The flip side is that if I get picked up as a tech - I may be farther away then ever. It'd be a kick if I got sent out to the fleet as a civilian version of what I was doing before. I have my fingers crossed real tight on that possibility...
