Engine randomly dying

Hey everyone. I have an 03 4.6 with 65000 miles, and the engine just randomly dies while I'm driving. It only does this when I'm driving, never at idle, and the car restarts without any problems. However, these episodes are becoming more frequent. Today it cut-off on the expressway 7 times. I haven't any time to take it to the dealer (which sucks), and was wondering if anyone had any idea of what the problem may be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is that it is electrical. Maybe a bad cam position or crank position sensor.

It could be clogged fuel filter if it has not been changed lately. This is a cheap and easy fix, so I would start by replacing it.

Found out what the problem was. Bad altonator. Apparently, it melted some electrical wires, which caused ECU to keep loosing power. $951.00 to fix! That's so ridiculous.
