A Good Tune Up

So my truck is in need for a good tune up. It has 110k miles on it. Besides the basic tune up items, what else should I look into or change?

TIA,
Kelly

royal purple makes one too, but just replace the pcv, fuel filter, air filter, plugs, and change all the fluids and coolant if it has never been done before.

With that many miles you may want to consider dropping the trans pan and changing the filter and fluid as well, depending on your time and budget.

For the fuel system....Find a can of BG44K. Blue and silver can about the size of a soda. They cost about $16 a can, but it is also recommended that you do not use more than 1 can a year. Just dump it in with a full tank and away you go. Really good stuff.

If the engine in question is a 1997-99 4.6, equipped with the EDIS ignition system (2 coils, each using conventional spark plug wires) then I would replace the plug wires as well.

Not really a tuneup item, but ever change the brake fluid? New fluid should be clear. If yours looks like something served at Starbucks, time to flush it out. Old fluid contains contaminants and moisture, not good, particularly if your truck has ABS.

A differential fluid change, and if a 4x4, a transfer case fluid changeout might not be a bad idea either.

How old is the serpentine belt?

Let me save a lot of typing: At 110k, I would change all fluids, belts and hoses, if not changed previously.
