Red face 2001 F150 4x2 Leveling Kit

Hi, I have a 2001 Ford F150 XL, 4.2 V6, 4x2, regular cab, 8-foot bed, and LT255/70/R16 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires. I am considering buying a leveling kit for the truck. In this leveling kit I would be lifting the front end about 1.5 inches with spacer blocks on the front coil springs...DO I NEED TO EXTEND THE BRAKE LINES? Thanks for your time and help in advance, I really appreciate it.

I don't beleve you do with the 1 1/2 inch kit.....i think with the 3 inch kit you have to extent the brake lines and install aftermarket control arms.....think you'll be ok but not positive

Although 1-1/2" doesn't seem like much, there really isn't any excess in the existing lines. (I recently changed the shocks on my 2001 F150 4x2).

Even if you're doing this "homebrew" or with a "universal" kit, I would want to talk to a manufacturer of these lifts to see what they recommend.

When you are working on the truck, hack off that Flowmaster and get a Magnaflow.
