ok i put in a rt front hub assembly about 15000 miles ago on my 01 350 4wd dually, it is burned up and so is the axle now
a couple of shops are telling me that the auto locking hubs i have can mess up and lock in interminently and burn things up??? and that it is very hard to tell if it is doing this
what is everybodies experience with this?? heard of this??
ok am very worried about this, truck still in shop and not sure what to replace
is it possible to tell if the hub is working correctly by looking inside the mechanism and moving the lever, i am doing this right now and do not see it doing anything????
My experience with auto hubs has been bad ,had problems with them in my Bronco and 97 f250hd ,replaced them in my 97 with warn premium hubs which worked excellent.........never doing them before it took a few hours for the one side and about 15 minutes for the other side once I figured it out !
Glad I have manuals in my new 2000 superduty...not sure who makes them though Good Luck
