'05 Firewall Access
Boys:
I need to run some 12 guage wire through my 05' F250 CC firewall to tie in an invertor to the battery. Any suggestions what is the easiest/cleanest way to get this done. I am doing this on my 6.0liter.

I have ran many things through my firewall including a 2 guage power wire for my stereo. Lift your driverside and passenger carpet up and look for some black rubber groments. Rin the wire and see wire it leads to. Or you can look inside your hood and run your wire with some of fords exiting wires leading into your truck. Good luck

on my 02 the steering column had a round black seal where it enters the firewall into the cab. i poked a hole just big enough for my 12 gauge wire through that. i took some lockties and ran the wire from the battery following the sheetmetal hood outline in the engine compartment then down to the steering column. it worked out great! good luck.

There is a blank hole ~2" covered with sliver tape above the rubber grommets up towards the top. You can see it much better looking under the hood on the drivers side toward the top. This opens up inside and there is a preforated knockout inside that will allow access. That is where I have run two coaxes and two 10GA wires.

The blank hole Chris is talking about only exists on the auto tran. The clutch is mounted there on a manual. if you use that hole it is wise to reinforce it with duct tape or something similar. The tape is very thin and you will end up with a big hole otherwise.
