well ive been making a buncha progress lately, twinsticks, new exhaust, hydro assist, moved and welded front spring hangers for better shackle angle, did a little more fender trimming, made a spare d-shaft for the front, got a linelock for the rear installed, just got spicer 35 spline inners and u joints here, yukon stub shafts will be here in 2 days(got em for 167 shipped) and mile marker hubs will be here in a day (129 bucks)
along with new seals slingers and spindle bearings to go along with them
oh yea, i made a sweet shifter boot for my twinsticks out of a floormat i found in the mud
i was having problems with my crappy stok tie rod buckling on the rocks and climbing trees while i was playing in cutt's yard, so we went behind his shed and found about a 2 foot 5/8 thick bolt with a little bend in it, and stitched it on the tierod with his 210, i cant bend it now, and since both tre's are good, i think ill be running my homade rock rod for awhile, to help the problem i also relocated the hydro ram so it was attchtd near the knuckle, and not in the middle of the tie rod
i was tired of babying her when i wasnt in the soft stuff, plus now i can sell my neckdown crap and hubs on ebay cuz they aint broke
Awesome progress man! That front axle should be ready to rock and roll now. Sounds like you got all the parts at an excellent price too. Which line-lock did you use? I've been wanting to get a pair and put 1 on each axle for front wheel drive burnouts and all that good mess. Seems like every time I think of buying one I find something better to spend my money on.
i got the 39 dollar one off of summit racing , its par # sbr-LL, sam biondo
i figure it will do, and they only draw like 1 amp of power...i got a 5 amp inline fuse, cheap switch and some wire at radio shack, still came in cheper than those kits, now i can do front digs so i can turn like the jeeps
shutup about my front fender, it dont never have to mess with my tires, plus i think its kinda sexy
Hey Kubota, I think you had problems with your shifters cause you installed them backwards? Its been over two years since I last drove my truck but I remember i had to reach down and over (im kinda short, had to have the bench seat almost all the way forward to reach the pedals ) to get the transfercase shifter. The JKW twinstick shifters sit 5 inches closer to the driver side than the stock shifter and theres lots of room between the NP435 shifter and T-sticks when in second gear. Figured it'd be okay since the engine and tranny are offset from the trucks center towards the passenger side a couple of inches. Now I just gotta make the linkages.
And your truck looks freakin Beefy. Big tires, small lift, I like it! Did you trim your winch bumper too?
the way you have them in the first pic wouldnt work for me, the shifters are differnet lengths, so you cant switch them, and you cant turn them around because of the way the pins are....believe me i tried.
edit:i see wut it is now!! you have a divorced t-case, so your mounting on the tranny is different, the way u have yours may work, cause u have to make linkage anyway but with a married x-case, you HAVE to run the shifters turned around the other way or the linkage wont hook up
ivan, the way u see them now, they are bent like a **** with a torch. i just did it in the truck. im happy the way they are now, they take up room, but i can actually clear the shifter ***** in all 4 gears lo and high now. The way they are bent is the onlny way i could get them to fit. I sent jkw an stern email about it and they pretty much shrugged his shoulders
yea i cut up my bumper, it stuck out to far and got snagged on crap, so i hacked it when i cut my fenders
thanks for the compliments

hubs from tellico 4x4...cheapest i could find, and do a search on pirate about the milemarkers....seem to pretty high quality, especially for almost half the price of warns...byron runs them too, i found the yukon stubs from a guy on tennesee offroad, they were brand new in the box,
