Does anyone know how plug up the smog tubes that run parallel and are conected to the exhaust flange? I asked a guy I know at a machine shop and he said that nobody made anything to fit in as plugs...is he right? Any help would be awesome!
no i don't rember just bring one of the tubes with you some napa stores won't have them the one out here in brentwood does because they also sell tractor parts the fittings also interchange with natural gas fittings.
okay cool, its probably not a good idea to run the truck with those tubes off huh? Although the tubes arent connect to anything aside from the motor right now anyways, well see...I'll just have to deal with not driving the beast, oh well...
Actucally Ford made plugs for these things. Ford made plugs for these. I have installed them when I made one of my '69 Fairlane Cobras with its 428CJ into a race only car. But I can't find any number for it right now. Will have to dig through some old stuff to try and find it. Then again the local Ford parts guy might be able to find it for you.
thermactor, thats the name i was looking for good thing someone remembered at napa they were .65 each i wish i still had that engine i would have taken them out and sent them to you free.
