What exactly cycles the A/C clutch? I thought it was the switch on the (heck I can't remmember the name) Black dohicky that powers the clutch. The reason I ask is I put a A/C idle stop selinoid on and noticed that it stays on when the clutch cycles. Not a big deal just wondering what controls the clutch. I don't have a computer anymore.
More than likely the cause is a little low on freon. Your low presure switch is causing the compressor to cycle. When it starts the presure on the low side goes down and the switch shuts it off, as the presure rises back it starts again. Add a little freon.

Yup,
I kinda figured that, it only cycles when stopped and at idle. What puzzles me is the idle stop selinoid is tied into the same 12v wire that goes over to the clutch. I thought the idle stop selinoid would shut off when the clutch did. When the A/C is switched off on the dash so is the selinoid. Humm.. I think that the other wire that comes off the clutch is plugged into the black evap. housing.... that's why I wondered what controls the cycle...
