...And why is it that nearly all truck names have to do with the Western United States (Silverado, Lariat, Laramie, Sierra, etc...)? Don't they think that the "Ford Montpelier" or the "Dodge Allegheny" have a nice ring to them?-
Can anyone tell me what Scion means? Stupid sounding....stupid looking. Looks like a mini element, which is also stupid looking, and sounding for that matter.
Also, what about Ford Festiva? Sounds like you're having a party for Ford, like Ford festival or something.

Having lived at Tahoe, I find it insulting to see that name on a Chevy, just makes me wanna blow chunks...
How about the fine folks at AMC? They not only built some of the country's most hideous cars, but then gave them really stupid names. As mentioned already, the Gremlin, and then there was the Matador, the Pacer, and the Javelin, (at least that one was almost attractive) not to mention the AMX...what the heck is that supposed to mean? And let us not forget the Rambler, always made me think of an old hobo, ramblin' around the country side, begging for scraps. -TD
Honda Civic: originally CVCC, morphed into Civic, forgot what the original acronym was for.
Toyota Starlet...Olds Toronado (cause everyone I knew called it a Tornado)...VW Golf...Pontiac Phoenix (the whole "catching fire and being rebuilt" is way too much of a possibility with that car).
