NooB project idea
Alright, let me first just say: I'm a Chevy guy.
Hate on.
Anywho, I have been into the car scene for several years. My knowledge on vehicles is mostly limited to F-bodies and Chevrolet trucks. My new idea has gotten me going in a different direction however. Considering my current finances and wants, I have come up with a new project.
Ford Lightning Clone
97+ F-150, single cab, short bed, 2wd, 5.4L
2/3 drop with Lightning wheels
Full bolt-ons & exhaust
Body kit
Not quite as fast as I would like one to be, but you've gotta remember this is being done on a college kid's budget.
Any input?

The 97-98 have a different frt end (grill and bumper), parts to convert it to 99 and up are about $400. The Lightnings are actually dropped about 1/2. For OEM Lightning lights check karkraft.com. For the rims, look on ebay. AND DON"T PUT LIGHTNING BADGES ON IT.

speaking of lightnings and mods and such...I saw a lightning going down the road with Hemi badgaing all the way around. It mad me mad cause it definately didnt have one unless he was easy very gently on the gas, and he didnt look like the sort to do.
