Because it is a van and must have the 2v V10 I do not know the exact answer.
What I do know:
The gas and diesel motors in 05 got a new brain box that no longer needs the old Auxilery Idle Control (AIC) box, also know as Auxiliary Powertrain Control Module (APCM), because the new PCM can control the electroning throttle via the Stationary Elevated Idle Control (SEIC)
There are more than just idle control features but as I understand it you must have the PTO version of the trany to make the Torque Converter Lock UP signal work with elevated idle. I also know that gas motors do not have the battery charge protect feature that PSD versions do.
Try here to see if you van has these features also:
E350SuperDuty - I think I noticed in another thread that you have a manual transmission; in which case the PTO answer is yes, standard. On the other hand they don't recommend extended usage. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find my literature right now.
I finally got E350 signature to work...gota hover for a long time...E350 I do not like your sig even tho it is cool... I always look there to see what vehicle and options we are working on...
Not sure what the manual tranny brings into the pic as far as PTO is concerned. the PTO sense for the automatic is to LOCK the torqueConverter when PTO engaged and then elevate the idle
Read through that guide I linked to I an sure it is in there.
"Transmission Power Takeoff Provision - This is option code 62R and must be ordered to get a PTO gear and port with the TorqShift 5-speed automatic transmission. The 6-speed manual overdrive transmission has a PTO gear and port standard."
