finding the right tailgate

I picked up a tailgate but the lower body lines of the tailgate don't line up quite right. I think it may be a 69-72 tailgate. Does anyone have pictures of a 69-72 and 73-9 that I could compare?

Just curious, did the 67-72 tailgate fit well other than the chrome trim off line? Or was it the sheet metal off line. Found a good 67-72 for my 77. Thanks

the gate fits and functions perfect the top line of the tailgate matches fine.just hte bottom line is about 1/4'' off but from about 10 ft. away you can't tell. i am working at removing all the dents and 10 bullet holes and i lucked out there was no rust holes.

Hehe, leave the bullets in there! alot of people pay to have fake bullet holes on their trucks, at least you have the real thing

Anyone know how to repair the mounts on those Ford emblem panels like is on that picture above? My '73 has an almost pristine one except for 1/2 or more of the rivets are broke loose.

I really don't want to drill screw holes in it just to keep it on but I also don't want to take it off and have a bunch of holes in my tailgate.
