I searched this topic with no luck.
I've got a 93' F-150, and have the ability to aquire a pair of D60s from an early 70's F-250. my Question is, will the axles from a 72' fit my 93' because I heard that the frame between the two has a 3" difference.

Pass on those 60's, as i can tell you that those axles are going to be a closed knuckle 30 inner 19 outer spline shafts (save picture as and zoom in to see the specs):
This axle is not much stronger than your front 44 TTb, the only difference in strenght is in the carrier with bigger spiders and ring/pinion. If i were you i would hold out for a open knuckle front end.
BUT if you have your heart set on this the axle should be the same from hub to hub, the only major difference lies with the fact that the axle has the pumpkin moved inward to clear the frame, and this entitles aprox 5-6" of lift to clear (someone in here that has done the swap can make sure of that, as i'm not a 100 percent sure).
