adding a snow plow
I live in the Northeast. I'm looking to buy a 1993, F150, 4.9, XL, 4x4, 5 speed. I never owned a 4X4 before, only had a f150 2X4. Will the front end and transmission hold up for plowing alot of snow. It can snow a foot every other day for six months. My driveway is about 100 feet long. I plow just in 4 High, 4 low doesn't work on this truck. I dont think I will do much 4 wheeling, there are not many places around. Do I need to beef up the front end any, if so which parts?

I'm in central NY and we get our share of snow here too. Plenty of the plow companies use our range of F150's to plow all morning long. I think you should be fine if just doing your own driveway and with all that snow pushed off to the side you can make your own bobsled course 
We'll have to wait for those more knowledgable to post on whether you need beefier springs & shocks up front.
