Strokers, I have an 03 7.3L crew cab 22k mi and pull a 28 ft fifth wheel. I need a 4" exhaust aluminized system. Anybody out there that has purchased one? Where did you get it and how much? How has the noise level changed and what results did you get ( egt's, mileage etc ). How was the installation process? Replies much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!!!
I too have an '03 7.3, I went with the HOG exhaust, shipped for $600, it's all stainless, and love the sound. 2-3 mpg gain, 200 degrees drop on EGT's, and the best part, a 5.5" x 24" rolled & slash-cut tip that looks F$%king GOOD. check my gallery for a couple pics. Hope that helps.
Also, the downpipe install sucks. I think it would regardless of who makes the system. 4" downpipes just are hard to get in the space. Others will probably chime in regarding this as well. Good Luck! It's worth the time and expense.

Just bought mine, find them all day at ebay 40 dollars standard for ups. I didnt have any probs with my install and it included a hollowed out no resistance muffler. Installed at the same time a new turbo blade..1 day all done myself.
Check out our MBRP aluminized, slightly more expensive than a lot fo the basic systems out there but here's what you get for the difference:
Welded hangers whenever possible, looks OEM, fits right and lasts longer than a naked clamp hanger combination.
Fully packed muffler, deep tone but not overly loud. We use a ceramic blanket and stainless steel wool as the packing material, it'll last longer than you and I. Using no packing material actually creates a restriction as the gasses are in the outer can fighting with the gasses in the inner tube to get out of the system. Plus they usually have a hollow sound to most folks.
What the system will do for you is spool up the turbo sooner, earlier power. It will ower EGT 150-200 degrees and for a lot of folks you'll get increased MPG. Once you quit hammering on it anyway, becasue you're gonna want to hear that diesel music every now and then when you fist get it installed. Call us if you have any questions we'll be glad to help you.
