I was wondering about a couple of things. First I was wondering if I could get the measurements of a shortbox f150 so that I can shorten the frame on my F250 so I can put a stock box on it later. I am going to shorten the frame so I can fit into trails better.
The second question is: Do chasis cab dually's and F-350 with a pick-up box have the same frame width in the rear frame section?
Currently I am planning to make a better off-road truck with 60's 460-c6-205 and strengthen my workhorse 60's-473-t19-1354-35BFG.
I think that the wheelbase for a short wheelbase truck is 115 inches... but i'm not 100% sure. i'm doing the same thing to my 1980 f100. i have a 460 and c6 to go in that. i want to make it a short wheelbase. i'm looking around for the mesurements right now, but so far, i've been told that it is 115 inches, so 18 inches would have to be cut out. i'll post the info when/if i find it.
