radio problems

radio problems
I have a 2001 f-250 lariat. My fm sometime doesn't work. Sometimes it crackles other times it just doesn't get a station. Other times it works fine. The cd player works fine. I checked the antenna wire and it is all the way in.
What else should I check before I take it in?
