Battery drain
My son's 1991 Sport will drain the battery in a couple of days if it is not run. I've narrowed the search to the EEC fuse in the engine compartment. When I remove this fuse, everything is fine...no battery drain. When I remove and install the fuse, with the key off, I can hear the fuel pump relay cycle on and off. Could this be causing the battery to drain? I have replaced the fuel relay with no change. Is it in the EEC module? "We" are getting tired of jumping the car every other day... Considering how the system works, it sounds like you might have a bad ignition switch.
Check for voltage on the BATT terminal of the ignition coil.
If you see 12 volts there even when the key is off, remove the connector from the ignition switch and if the voltage goes away, replace the switch.
