*Title change*: Searching car Title

What I might be asking for is impossible, but I wanted to see if anyone here could help. Does anyone know if there's a way to research a VIN number for a car built in the 60's. I know there are websites that you can research VIN numbers. but they are only for vehicles built in '81 and newer. I am trying to find my parents 66 Mustang, it was their dream car, but they had to sell it to build a house.

EDIT :

Whoops I mis-understood.

The best way is to be a member of AAA - CAA

and get them to search it.

Carfax is mainly a joke.

Your in luck, Mustang are incrediblely popular. Google for the Mustang boards. I remember a guy named Kevin Marti having bought Fords old VIN information. For the right fee I think he can reprint you the window sticker.

As far as the actual car, I doubt you'll find it. Too many get crushed these days.
