Quick question
I know its not the preferred method but can I use Vaseline as a 'grease' for my poly leaf spring bushing? Also..on my shackle I cut the bolt to get the spring out. THey had the nut facing the outside of the van and the head of the bolt facing the frame. i think this is to encourage users to replace the entire shackle. Anyway what Im wondering is does it matter which direction the bolt is facing since I cannot put it back in the way they have it due to space limitations?

not sure about the second part, but I don't see any reason you couldn't use vaseline to lube up the leaf spring bushing...
Now that I think about it, as long as the bolt is still doing the SAME job it was before, there's also no reason it can't go in that way (assuming it fits correctly).

BTW.. instead of using Vaseline, use some anti-sieze paste.. not too much tho.. it will keep it from binding, won't damage the bushing, doesn't collect dirt and makes it easy to remove in the future..
