Hard to say without seeing the Chevy's shackle angles but you might be surprised. That Toyota uses a rear suspension that's not used often because it's not very stable on the road. He's compensated by putting 3 shocks to each side but I'll tell you that rear end can flex and twist more than you would believe. Sure, the truck is goofy as hell but it does flex.
that toyota doesn't look too horrible but it is close enoug to rice that i wouldn't drive it. as always theres too many dam shocks all the way around and the always feared disease "no front driveshaft syndrome"
and that chevy actuallyt looks decent for a pavement pounder but i sure as hell wouldn't waste the cash on boggers. gotta love them dam banana springs
Thats so sad....
But that yota rear suspension is very interesting... its kinda cute... er, sorry... cool. Its cool, yes cool indeed!
Seems like it would limit you on stuff like an RTI ramp.
I went to the 4wheelparts Truckfest today and found more useless suspension. I cant imagine how much that extra metal weighs, and look at the ground clearance both front and rear...would you lift a truck that high and still keep the independant suspension?
Funny thing though, most of these 'show' trucks were for sale, people just laughed at the price and walked away.
Oh I got to see the new Hummer H3 and it looks pretty decent IMO. About the size of a trailblazer and probably has a the same drivetrain too, but at least its not as ugly, bulky or heavy as the H2.
