need help. first off great site. f350 1999 no mods, now the problem, today driving interstate on the way home, had to slow down for some construction and rpms dropped real low as if truck was going to shut off. pressed pedal to the floor rpm's fluctuated up and down 100-200 rpm's. truck started moving again as if nothing happened. then noticed it felt as if it was surging.wanted to shut off almost everytime I stopped.pulled in driveway, put in park rpm's moved from 500 to 1500 several times. cut off truck started bak up idles fine no surge or misses.

I'm here to learn too, but what little I know makes me think the IPR valve is failing. Or the sensor that reads the HPOP pressure. I forget the acromyn for it at the moment.
IPR = Injector Pressure Regulator.
I don't have any experience in this area, but if it were my truck I would take the thing out and check the o-rings for damage. They are quite small, available at the dealer. If you want to get the whole sensor I hear it's around $100.00+ at Ford. Don't quote me on it though.
