AC charging

I bought a kit to charge my AC on my 99 5.4L expy. Where the heck is the low pressure valve for the compressor??? A picture would be great! I'm not too mechanically inclined when it comes to cars.

It's on the reciever just under the plastic cover that covers the starter solonoid next to the battery. You can access it without removing anything. It is located at about the 5 oclock position if you are looking down on the reciever. There are two heater hose tee's pretty much right next to the cap. As a side note what ever you do do not add a refrigerant that has a stop leak added. You can find info at length about this stuff and how it will clog things up. If you have a large leak you might want to consider adding some ester based oil. Charging AC through the low side without monitering high side pressure will yield very poor results and will not get the system to it's peak performance. Basically the higher the low side pressure is the warmer the air will be so don't charge past 45-50. Obviously to low will cause the evaporator to ice up and the low pressure switch will cycle the compressor. I know some of this is indepth so just remember this. No stop leak, add a refrigerant with an oil mix if it is very low or noisy while running. And keep the pressure below 50 on the low side.
