sorry if this is a duplication, but I couldn't find the thread I read before about the different types of throttle bodies. I have a 2001 F350, V10 of course. I bought the Poweraid throttle body spacer that has 2 holes in it (for the twin bore throttle body). However looking at my TB, it appears to be a single bore type, with one single oval shaped butterfly. Is there in fact 2 different types of throttle bodies??? Seeing how the spacer I got looks to be made for a twin bore type, I can't see it helping at all on a single bore type. Anyone???
Stock is twin 57 mm.If it's a single it must have been changed, probaly an AccuFab tb.Now as far as the spacer is concerned if you remove it you will see an improvement, some disagree, but I think they are snake oil.I have a BBK twin 65mm and it works great with a noticable improvement. If you do have the Accufab, the spacer is hendering the bigger tb because the spacer is designed to work with the stock tb.
I am going to re-check this today, I'll let you know what I find out. Oh yeah, I thought my truck was completely stock when I got it. Only 44k miles on it!
V10KL....how did you make the throttle cable fit with the BBK TB? I installed one (1711), and the damn cable had too much slack. Couldn't figure out how to correct the problem so ended up pulling the TB off and returning it.
