Why are there differences in the MSRP on Identical trucks?
I am crusing Ford Direct searching local inventory and I find two trucks that could be clone's. One has an msrp of $27960 and the other $27790 this is before options.
Also what's the diference between No job listed on the sticker and Job 2 listed.
Thanks
Base MSRP and invoice can change throughout the model year -- usually it goes up. Job 2 means it's the second production run for the model year (mid-year changes to the line). The Job 2 truck is newer (and should have a higher serial code in the VIN) and the MSRP is a little higher.
Jeff had a pretty good post a week ago about why now is a good time to order a '06, with or without rebates. To recap, instead of one big price increase, Ford (and GM) have been doing small bumps through the model year. On a loaded SD, there's over $1000 difference in sticker between an early and late build '05.
