I don't know... I think y'all got no imagination. Given the proximity to the BBQ, I think it's a pretty ideal set-up.

No Cutts, he brought this thread back to remind us that kegs are useful for more than just getting wasted and to remind us to recycle. But I'm sure you saw crazier stuff in Mexico.

I guess I can't vouch for the crush strength of a keg, but there is no way I'd get under that. When I was lifting my 95 PSD in the driveway, I couldn't even lift one corner of the front 1/2 inch without crushing cinder blocks. As soon as the jack started pushing, the concrete would collapse. Not even stacking the flat stuff would do it. What's really scary is the way I had one block vertically under the rear bumper and supported the whole butt-end with it for 3 days....with me under it!!!

How in the world would you get it up that high anyway? Forklift?

That's how I did mine, 10 blocks stacked criss-cross on top of the floor jack to get it up in the first place. Then I used the keg to support the weight of the truck. I had 1 keg holding the rear end of the truck with no problem so I imagine 2 would do just fine for the front. I used the keg up front too but only for short periods of time. I think what you guys are forgetting here is that beer is one of the most precious items in the world so they build kegs extra stout to make sure it's well protected.

Or a body lift, huh huh?, they might work, right? Like stacking a 2" body lift and a 3" body lift to get a 6" body lift.

I know I wasn't the only person to see that post. ^^

It seems like risking life to pinch a penny is a good deal to some people.

Its not photo-shopped, I dont think... I saw another pic of it from a different angle.

Id trust two kegs to hold my truck up... thats a lot of strength- cylinders are very strong structurally when placed vertical. In order to have it fall the kegs would have to tip (which would be near impossible as long as you didnt slam or run into the truck body) or tear the keg walls. Last time I checked, it was pretty hard to tear metal.

imagine the boom if they did crush, all that pressure building up inside, till the walls give out. yea, id be kinda leary of being under it, but stuff like that is very strong, look at the steel pilings holding up building, rounds steel tubes.
