Fuel system problem

On a 96 150 4X4 w/351 Auto trans, I am experiencing what feels like a ignition failure or fuel cut out. This happens only for the first few minutes after a cold start and only just off idle under very light acceleration. When the engine starts to struggle, even a little more pressure on the accelerator will stop it and the truck runs fine. Idle is smooth. I have changed air/fuel filters and plugs/wires. Anybody have any ideas???

Pull codes, this is always the first step before you start throwing parts at an unknown issue. www.fordfuelinjection.com

Still Trying

I used the code reader at the local AutoZone store and it showed no faults. The problem does not appear to be temperature related after all, but still is cutting out at very light throttle. Give her a little more and things run great. This is a lot better than the Chevy it replaced! (read everything plastic broke and fluid leaks d'Jour!)

whats your timing set at? should be 10*btdc with spout removed. you might also run some seafoam thru it. both the intake and gas tank.
