Hello everyone, I have been lurking here for some time and have found a lot of very helpful people here. A genuine nice community. I have a 2001 F-150 SC. Bought it in summer of 2000. Last week on a trip to Colorado It rolled over the100,000 mile mark. Never a problem, exept the power window motor on the driver's window.

I have used several different oils in the 5 years, Castrol semisyn then to Mobil 1. Doesn't use a drop, even on pulling a 3,000 lb. tailer1300plus miles. As an aside, I haven't changed the plugs nor any coils yet. Runs very smooth. On the last trip(without the trailer) got 18.5 as a best and 17.5 the rest of the time. What do I have to look forward too? Past experience says more of the same great service.

One question, upon returning and delivering the trailer, the Service engine Soon light came on. It is code P1405. Any idea what it is?

By the way I'm in Alabama

Hi and welcome to the forum

A P1405 means "DPF EGR Sensor Upstream Hose Off or Plugged ".
From the driver's side exhaust manifold there is the EGR tube which runs up to the EGR valve. Coming off that are 2 hoses that go to the DPFE sensor. Take a look at those hoses to make sure they are attached at both ends, not burned etc.

Welcome ! At that mileage the plugs, coils, and O2 sensors have degenerated.
