Power Steering pump.

My ps system is leaking, and today I took the pressure hose off, cleaned it and put it back on. I did this so I could see if it was leaking at the connections. Anyway, after I installed it again, I started it up and went to turn the wheel, it sounded like gears grinding. I stoped and noticed the fluid was very low, so I filled it up. But now it still sounds like a high pitched gear grinding when I accelerate. I know for certain that it is the ps system. What could cause this, what happened? It was always quiet before I reinstalled the hose:???

Thanks

Power Steering pump.

Probably air in the lines. Jack the front wheels off the ground, remove PS cap, turn wheels back and forth about 10-15 times without the engine on. This should force the air out of the system.
