Looking under the vehicle, I noticed on the driver's side of the oil pan...a rubber boot containing two wires that lead into the pan itself. It appears the boot has broken and oil is covering the wires. The wires are insulated, but don't know what they are for. What is this? And, is it possible if the boot it broken, to have oil leaking out of it?
No lights have come on...I was just wondering what the wires are for. Are you saying that the wires are for that light? If so, is it possible for oil to leak out of the rubber boot holding the wires? Can the rubber boot be replaced if it is broken?
