Since you have bought so few chains I was wondering if yours was an automatic sharpening saw? I noticed a really curved bar on one because being an automatic sharpening saw, noone flipped the bar. The bar ended up looking like a banana and the rakers like cat's teeth.

well, we had a couple other dull chains, so those i'm gonna practise my sharpening skills on too. never heard nor seen of a self-sharpening saw.....i'd figure the chain couldnt be sharpened automatically on the saw because of the shape of the teeth. maybe i need to get one of those as well when i get some of that snake oil i been needin.

My dad has a 6' bar on a homelite alaskan saw mill. It has a handle on one end of the bar since it requires two people to use it. It will cut any size lumber you could want.
