I already talked to the seller this morning. It's about an hour and a half from me so I'm trying to see if it will make the drive home and if I have enough credit card left. It would make a KILLER mall crawler. Of course at some point I'd have to pull the engine and replace it with a blown 545 . . . but what's new?
Well the drivetrain is nothing special. Double stacked blocks and 1/2 ton running gear are not my bag plus it's not sporting a 460. But it wouldn't take much to swap a few things in and have a pretty decent weekend driver. The body looks awesome, I love the flares and the custom bed.
ouch didn't look at all the pics, double stack blocks on the back. Piece of cake for Ivan to fix, after looking at the mods he done on his truck. Would be afraid to mall crawl. No wounder they have newer had it over 5 mph.
Well damn, it's not licensed and can't be driven on the street. The guy told me it had no mufflers so it was way too loud. Bwahahaha! Apparently he hasn't been sitting in the neighbor's house when I fire up the Cap'n. If any of you are in Spokane you might remember this as being the truck that was always parked out at Truckland. They did it up for show and that's it which makes me think I'd have to go through the entire drive train to be able to run it on the street. I'd have to have it transported from Moses Lake to Spokane which is going to cost some bucks as I don't have a trailer that it can be hauled on.
I love that truck. I can't think of a better way to build up an old beast.
Well I bid several times but some friggin quilt maker from Alaska outbid me at the last second. I think it may be the seller using someone to shill the bid. Either way I dropped it at $5600. It would have been hella cool but I've got a lot of other irons in the fire and not enough cash to fund THOSE projects let alone another. Not to say I won't buy another anyway.
