fuel tank gauges
i have a f-150 1995 4x4 5.0 and i need to know how to fix the fuel gauges. when i fill the front tank it always reads empty. how is the 5.0 v-8? i had a straight 6 f-150 and i put 239000 miles on her.i sold it about 3 months ago original engine.

have you checked the the wires going into the sending unit? have you checked the fuse, any broken wires. if above checks out ok then you need to ground the gauge. You can do this at the sending unit. have someone see if the gauge goes to full, if not then most likly it is a stuck float in the tank. Probally stuck to the bottom
