Headlight questions (again)
1. On the Osram-Sylvania (OEM supplier) website, it specifies that for the H13 (9008) headlamp bulb, there are both the standard and XtraVision versions available. Other than seeing it there, I haven't found anything about there being an XtraVision model available. Does anyone have any knowlege or experience regarding this? I would like something a little brighter than stock (without increasing the wattage) and the rumor is that they're not going to make a SilverStar bulb in this model.
2. Regarding the 9005 foglight conversion, does anyone have details on this procedure? Is there a website I could go to with instructions? Has anyone done this on their 2005 SD? Will I need to remove the grille? Are all 9005 bulbs the same - if not, what one will fit in the 9145 socket? The base for the 9145 is PY20d and the base for the 9005 is P20d. Does anyone know what the "Y" designates and if they are interchangable? Is there an XtraVision bulb available in the 9005 model?
3. The back-up light is specified as a 3156LL bulb. Does anyone know of a bulb I can use there to increase brightness? Those darned tinted windows bug the heck out of me while trying to back up at night.
I hope I don't seem like i'm beating a dead horse, but I just am unsure about these few things. Thanks.
